局部宇宙的星形成率函数

摘要

我们推导出远紫外 (1530埃) 和远红外 (60微米) 的双变量亮度函数。我们使用匹配后的GALEX和IRAS数据,以及来自NED和PSC-z的红移信息。我们推导出总星形成率亮度函数 phi(L_{tot}),其中 L_{tot} = L_{FUV}+L_{FIR}。据此,我们确定了局部宇宙的星形成率 函数 和密度。总SFR函数在五个数量级的亮度范围内由对数正态分布很好地拟合。我们发现,双变量亮度函数 phi(L_{FUV},L_{FIR})显示双峰行为,L_{FIR} 随L_{FUV}变化,当 L_{TOT}< 10^10 L_sun 时,L_{FUV} 在10^10 L_sun处饱和,而 L_{TOT} L_{FIR} 在更高亮度处占主导。我们还计算了SFR密度并与其他测量结果进行比较。
