25 Orionis 群的南侧外缘

围绕 Be (B1Vpe) 星 25 Orionis 的星际簇已由 Centro de Investigaciones de Astronomia (CIDA) Orion Variability Survey 和随后的光谱学观测发现为准主序星群。我们利用 Sloan Digital Sky Survey 多时段光度测量绘制了 25 Ori 群南侧范围，并对其准主序星群进行特征化。我们将该群与相邻的 Orion OB1a 与 OB1b 亚簇以及活跃星系形成区 (NGC 2068/NGC 2071) 位于 Lynds 1630 阴影云中的情况进行比较。我们发现 25 Ori 群的半径为 1.4 度，对应于 Orion OB1a 和 OB1b 的 8-11 pc。鉴于年轻开放簇的特征尺寸通常为几 pc 或更小，这表明 25 Ori 可能是一种非束缚关联团体而非开放簇。由于其准主序星群中经典塔塔星 (Classical T Tauri) 的比例约为 ~10%，我们得出结论，25 Ori 群的年龄相当于 11 Myr 的 Orion OB1a 亚簇。
