摘要
在 CERN 的 SPS 中使用 70GeV π 束照射测试了镓砷探测器。该探测器采用一种新颖的偏置方案，已被证明如预期般工作。探测器具有 50m 的间距，因此预期分辨率为 14.5m。测得的分辨率约为 14m。通过使用非线性电荷分配算法可将其提高到约 12m。噪声是限制分辨率的因素。这一噪声为 2000e，而预期为 360e。这种噪声也被认为降低了探测器的检测效率。 excess noise 的来源正在调查中。
