摘要

QUIJOTE (Q-U-I JOint TEnerife) 是一台新的偏振计,旨在表征宇宙微波背景以及其他银河系和河外信号在中等及大角尺度、频率范围 10-40 GHz 内的偏振。安装在首台 QUIJOTE 望远镜上的多频率 (10-20 GHz) 仪器于 2012 年 11 月在 Teide 天文台(海拔 2400 m)首次观测到光。2014 年间,第二台望远镜已在该天文台安装。一台 30 GHz 的第二仪器将于 2015 年夏季在该望远镜上准备调试,而第三台附加的 40 GHz 仪器目前正在开发中。这些仪器将具备标称灵敏度,可在张量-标量比大于 r=0.05 时探测到由原始引力波分量导致的 B 模式偏振。
