我们展示了使用安格鲁-澳大利亚望远镜（AAT）上的高精度偏振仪（HIPPI）对系外行星系统 HD 189733 进行的线偏振观测。这些观测比此前报道的该天体的任何观测具有更高精度。它们未显示出 Berdyugina 等人 2008 和 Berdyugina 等人 2011 所报道的大振幅偏振变化。我们的结果与 Wiktorowicz 等人 2015 提出的偏振数据一致。对 Rayleigh-Lambert 模型的形式最小二乘拟合给出 29.4 ± 15.6 ppm 的偏振振幅。我们观测到约 55-70 ppm 的背景恒定偏振水平，这比 HD 189733 距离上星际偏振的预期值略高。
