NGC 1399 外围星团系统：初步结果

我们报告了对 NGC 1399 外围星团系统动力学研究的初步结果。这座位于 Fornax 星团中心的星系拥有约 160 个新的径向速度测量，其投影赤道距离范围为 8 到 18 弧分钟，表明已发现的 276 km/s 常数速度分散（针对所有星团）可延伸至 80 kpc。我们发现蓝色（金属贫乏）和红色（金属富集）星团亚群的动力学特性似乎不同：虽然红色星团的速度分布围绕 NGC 1399 的系统速度呈对称分布，但蓝色星团显示出略微的非对称分布，具有更多高于系统速度的值。
