Oscura 实验

摘要

Oscura 实验将使用总曝光量 30 kg-yr、阈值为两个电子的新型硅电荷耦合器件(CCD)大型阵列,引领对低质量暗物质粒子的搜寻。该研发工作始于 2020 财年,目前进入设计阶段,目标是在 2024 年底准备就绪开始建设。Oscura 将对与电子相互作用的亚 GeV 暗物质粒子具有空前灵敏度,可探测质量低至 500 keV 的暗物质-电子散射,以及质量低至 1 eV 的被电子吸收的暗物质。Oscura 研发工作已在实验主要技术挑战上取得显著进展,其中最重要的是接洽新代工厂以制造 CCD 传感器、开发冷读出方案,以及理解实验本底。
