摘要
在粒子物理中寻找新的未观测现象时，近年来注意力已转向使用先进机器学习技术进行模型无关搜索。本文强调了将异常检测应用于喷注物理的主要挑战，即保持喷注质量的无偏估计量仍是任何模型无关搜索的关键部分。使用变分自编码器与多种工业标准异常检测度量，我们展示了这一问题的不可避免性。
