KDK(钾衰变)实验

摘要

钾-40(40{}^{40}K)是许多稀有事件搜寻中的本底,并可能在解释DAMA暗物质搜寻结果中发挥作用。40{}^{40}K电子俘获衰变到40{}^{40}Ar基态从未被测量过,并贡献了未知量的本底。KDK(钾衰变)合作组将使用40{}^{40}K源、X射线探测器和橡树岭国家实验室的模块化总吸收谱仪来测量该分支比。
