M3 instability strip 的研究

摘要
我们对 M3 星团中心区域进行新的多颜色 CCD 光度测量，描绘了约 120 颗 RR Lyrae 星 (RRab, RRd, RRc) 在水平分支 (HB) 上的精确位置。双模变量星 (RRd) 的位置与最新理论结果完全一致。我们发现 RRab 变量星之间存在显著的金属量内部扩散。
