摘要
AKARI 是日本首颗 dedicated 于红外天文学的卫星,于 2006 年 2 月 21 日发射,并于同年 5 月开始观测。AKARI 配备了一台 68.5 厘米的冷却望远镜以及两台焦平面仪器,可在从中红外到远红外的六个波段进行巡天观测。这些仪器还具备在 2-180 微米波长范围内进行成像和光谱观测的能力,该模式偶尔插入到连续巡天操作中。在轨制冷剂寿命预计为一年半。全天空巡天将覆盖超过 90% 的全天区,其空间分辨率和波长覆盖范围均优于此前的 IRAS 全天空巡天。全天空巡天的点源星表将向天文学界发布。定点观测将用于选定天区的深空巡天以及重要天文目标的系统观测。这些将成为该任务未来的额外遗产。
