摘要
本文研究了制裁对Tornado Cash的影响，Tornado Cash是一种旨在增强交易隐私的智能合约协议。在美国财政部于2022年8月对Tornado Cash实施制裁后，平台活动急剧下降。我们记录了制裁实施后交易量、用户多样性和整体协议利用率的显著且持续的下降。我们的分析基于三条主要区块链的交易数据：以太坊、BNB智能链和Polygon。我们进一步考察了美国海外资产控制办公室(OFAC)在2025年3月部分解除并最终取消制裁后的发展。尽管活动部分恢复，但反弹仍然有限。Tornado Cash案例说明了监管干预如何影响去中心化协议，同时也凸显了在去中心化环境中充分执行此类措施的挑战。
