CHEOPS 观测到的 WASP-189b 炽热昼面与非对称凌星

专门用于系外行星后续观测的 CHEOPS 空间任务于 2019 年 12 月发射,具备在 20 ppm 水平上进行测光测量的能力。由于 CHEOPS 在宽光学波段中进行观测,它可通过观测掩星和相位曲线,提供系外行星反射光的见解,并约束最热行星的短波长热发射。在此,我们报告 CHEOPS 对一次掩星的首次观测,即热木星 WASP-189b 的掩星,该行星为质量 MP2MJM_P \approx 2 M_J、绕 A 型星运行的行星。我们在单次测量中以高显著性探测到 WASP-189 b 的掩星,并基于四次掩星推导出掩星深度 dF=87.9±4.3dF = 87.9 \pm 4.3ppm。我们将这些测量与模型预测比较,发现当假设热量再分布低效时,其与加热至 3435±273435 \pm 27K 温度的无反射大气一致。此外,我们呈现了 CHEOPS 观测到的两次 WASP-189b 凌星。这些凌星具有非对称形状,我们将其归因于宿主恒星因其高速率自转引起的引力变暗。我们利用这些测量精化了行星参数,发现相较于发现论文凌星深度深约 25%,并将 WASP-189b 的半径更新为 1.619±0.021RJ1.619\pm0.021 R_J。我们进一步测得投影轨道倾角 λ=86.44.4+2.9\lambda = 86.4^{+2.9}_{-4.4}deg,该值与先前光谱观测结果吻合良好,并推导出真实倾角 Ψ=85.4±4.3\Psi = 85.4\pm4.3deg。最后,我们提供 CHEOPS 卫星所达测光精度的参考值:对于 V=6.6 mag 恒星,采用一小时分箱,我们在单个光变曲线上获得 10 至 17ppm 的残差 RMS,合并四次观测时为 5.7ppm。
