低亮度 S0 星系 NGC 7457 周围星系球团系统

摘要
我们利用深入的 B、V、I 光度测绘研究围绕低亮度 S0 星系 NGC 7457 的星系球团系统。从 V 光度测绘中，估计该星系周围星系球团的总数为 178 ± 75。采用 M_V = -19.55 mag 作为星系亮度，推算特定频率为 S_N = 2.7 ± 1.1。我们在 B-I、V-I 和 B-V 颜色上挑选了 89 个星系球团候选星。B-I 和 V-I 颜色分布均呈单峰，平均金属度 [Fe/H] ~ -1. dex。然而，B-I 颜色分布的宽度大于预期的单一星系球团群体所致，且与多于一个星系球团群体的存在相符。如果后者是情况，那么两峰可能在 B-I 中无法被检测，因为统计量小或两个群体的平均金属度差异较小。未检测到类似于银河系卫星星系中金属贫乏星系球团的金属贫乏星系球团。
