四星红外相机

摘要

四星红外相机是一款工作于1.0-2.5微米(JHKs)波段的近红外相机,用于智利拉斯坎帕纳斯天文台的麦哲伦·巴德6.5米望远镜。该相机由卡内基天文台和约翰霍普金斯大学仪器开发组共同研制,计划于2009年完成。该仪器采用四块Teledyne HAWAII-2RG阵列,产生10.9 x 10.9角分的视场。拉斯坎帕纳斯台址卓越的视宁度,结合四星相机的高灵敏度和宽视场,将能够支持许多新的巡天和针对性科学项目。
