Fe XXII I(11.92 A)/I(11.77 A)密度诊断

摘要
我们利用Livermore X射线光谱合成器,该仪器基于HULLAC原子数据计算高度带电离子的光谱模型,研究Fe XXII I(11.92 A)/I(11.77 A)线比的温度、密度和光致激发依赖性。应用于对中级极性星EX Hya的Chandra HETG光谱,我们发现其T_e ~ 12 MK等离子体的电子密度为log n_e (cm^-3) = 14.3^{+0.7}_{-0.5},远高于太阳或其他后类型恒星观测到的密度。
