遥感增强测量仪器(FIRESS):科学驱动力

摘要

我们介绍遥感增强测量仪器(Far-Infrared Enhanced Survey Spectrometer,FIRESS)的科学驱动力,这是 PRIMA(PRobe Infrared Mission for Astrophysics,星际红外任务计划)上两项科学仪器中的一项。FIRESS 旨在满足关于行星大气起源、星系与超大质量黑洞共演化以及宇宙重元素构建等科学目标。除了这些驱动力之外,FIRESS 也被设想为一种灵活的红外测量仪器,能够作为通用观察者(General Observer,GO)计划的一部分,针对 astrophysics 和行星天文学领域的大多数科学问题提供支持,其中 2/3 的当前科学案例将使用 FIRESS。我们概述仪器设计选择和参数如何支持主要科学驱动力以及广泛活跃的 GO 项目。
