摘要

e-ASTROGAM(“增强型ASTROGAM”)是一个突破性的天文台任务,致力于研究0.3 MeV至3 GeV光子能量范围内的非热宇宙。该任务基于先进的空间验证探测器技术,具有前所未有的灵敏度、角分辨率和能量分辨率,并结合偏振测量能力。在尚未充分探索的MeV-GeV能域,e-ASTROGAM将开启非热宇宙的新窗口,对最强大的银河系和河外源进行开创性观测,阐明其相对论性外流的性质及其对银河系生态系统的影响。其在MeV能段的线灵敏度比上一代仪器好一至两个数量级,将确定对理解超新星爆发和银河系化学演化至关重要的关键同位素的起源。该任务将提供引起广泛天文界重大兴趣的独特数据,与LIGO-Virgo-GEO600-KAGRA、SKA、ALMA、E-ELT、TMT、LSST、JWST、Athena、CTA、IceCube、KM3NeT以及eLISA等强大观测设备互补。
