摘要
e-ASTROGAM(增强型 ASTROGAM)是一项突破性的天文台空间任务,其探测器由硅径迹探测器、量能器和反符合系统组成,致力于研究 0.3 MeV 至 3 GeV 光子能量范围内的非热宇宙——对于径迹探测器,低能极限可下探至低至 150 keV 的能量,而对于量能探测则可至 30 keV。该任务基于先进且经空间验证的探测器技术,具有前所未有的灵敏度、角分辨与能量分辨能力,并兼具偏振测量能力。凭借其在 MeV–GeV 能域远超前辈的性能,e-ASTROGAM 将开启非热宇宙的新窗口,对最强大的银河系与河外源进行开创性观测,阐明其相对论性外流的本质及其对周围环境的影响。其在 MeV 能段的线灵敏度比上一代仪器优一至两个数量级,e-ASTROGAM 将确定对理解超新星爆发及银河系化学演化至关重要的关键同位素的起源。该任务将提供对广大天文界具有重要意义的独特数据,并可对 LIGO-Virgo-GEO600-KAGRA、SKA、ALMA、E-ELT、TMT、LSST、JWST、Athena、CTA、IceCube、KM3NeT 和 LISA 等强大天文台形成互补。
