通过使用chiral Lagrangian计算p波介子质量由于耦合到DK通道的偏移。未拟合参数。结果是在相对论夸克模型中一般计算的原始质量2.490 MeV向实验值2317 MeV偏移。使用相同的拉格朗日量，径向激发级的偏移要小得多，而总宽度 MeV和宽度比与SELEX组观察到的态相矛盾。
