本文报告了在距美国新墨西哥州卡尔斯布尔德附近的废弃掩埋试验场 (WIPP) 处测量的μ子强度。WIPP 为一座深度为655米的盐矿。使用两个面板碳示器 coincidence 装置测得垂直μ子通量为 Phi_{vert}=3.10(+0.05/-0.07)*10^(-7)s^(-1)cm^(-2)sr^(-1)。
