摘要
BLAST 天文台是一台拟议的超压气球载偏振计,设计用于未来从新西兰瓦纳卡出发的超长时气球任务。为在严苛的超压重量包络内最大化科学产出,BLAST 将配备新型 1.8m 离轴光学系统,封装于轻量整体式结构吊舱内。载荷将集成 300L He 低温接收机,通过绝热去磁制冷机(ADR)结合 He 吸附制冷机,并由工作于 2K 的液氦泵罐支撑,将 8,274 个微波动力学电感探测器(MKIDs)冷却至 100mK。探测器读出采用新型基于 Xilinx RFSOC 的系统,将运行下一代 BLAST-TNG KIDPy 软件。借助该仪器,我们旨在解答关于尘埃动力学的未决问题,并提供对偏振亚毫米天空的社区访问,这是高空观测不受大气传输限制所实现的。BLAST 天文台设计最短飞行 31 天,其中 70 用于 BLAST 科学目标观测,剩余 30 通过共享风险提案计划向更广泛天文社区开放提案。
