BLAST-TNG 低温接收机的表征、部署与在飞行性能

摘要

下一代气球载大口径亚毫米波望远镜(BLAST-TNG)是一台亚毫米波偏振计,设计用于在 24 天南极飞行中于 250、350 和 500 微米波段绘制星际尘埃与星系前景。BLAST-TNG 探测器阵列分别由 918、469 和 272 个 MKID 像素组成。像素由两具正交取向、交叉的线偏振敏感 MKID 天线构成。阵列被冷却至 300mK 以下温度,并通过闭循环 3^3He 吸附制冷机结合 4^4He 真空罐实现稳定。探测器通过第二代可重构开放架构计算硬件(ROACH2)与为 BLAST-TNG 定制的射频电子学组合读出。为读出并表征这些探测器而设计的固件与软件由 BLAST 团队围绕这些探测器从零构建,并已被 TolTEC 与 OLIMPO 等其他 MKID 仪器改造使用。我们概述这些系统,并深入阐述地基表征方法与实测在飞行性能。
