阿塔卡马宇宙学望远镜:宇宙双折射约束

摘要

我们利用阿塔卡马宇宙学望远镜两个观测季、覆盖 456456 平方度天空的数据,给出了宇宙微波背景偏振各向异性双折射的新约束。使用曲面二次估计量测量的双折射功率谱与零一致。我们的结果在 55 角分到 99 度的一系列角尺度上提供了当前最严格的双折射约束。我们将先前对尺度不变双折射功率谱振幅的上限提高了 2233 倍。假设暴胀期间存在近无质量轴子场,我们的结果等价于对轴子与光子之间 Chern-Simons 耦合常数 gαγ<4.0×102/HIg_{\alpha\gamma}<4.0\times 10^{-2}/H_I2σ2\,\sigma 上限,其中 HIH_I 为暴胀哈勃尺度。
