摘要
银河系吞噬质量的过程仍在进行，银河系的一个证据就是来自Sagittarius矮星系被剥离的星流。更近期地，在安德鲁亚德星系（M31）的星系中发现了一片广泛的星流，表明它也在吞噬一颗小型伴星系。本文报告了这片星流的最近观测结果，确定了其空间和运动学属性，追踪其三维结构，同时描述未来的观测以及我们可以从这片巨大的潮汐星流中所获知识。
