摘要
2010 年初,长基线中微子实验(LBNE)科学合作组启动了一项研究,旨在探讨该实验在不同束流、近探测器及远探测器配置下的物理潜力。研究确定了九个初始主题,这些主题构成了建设具有超大远探测器的长基线中微子实验的科学动因。我们总结了每个主题的科学依据,并给出了一组远探测器参考配置的预估性能。此外,我们还报告了关于优化束流参数及拟议近探测器配置物理能力的研究结果。本文件于 2010 年秋季提交给合作组,并于 2011 年初进行了小幅修订更新。
