Tevatron 助力 LHC 报告:顶夸克与电弱物理

摘要

顶夸克和电弱玻色子(W 和 Z)代表了迄今发现的最重基本粒子,因此直接指向标准模型中遗留的最大谜团:所有粒子获得质量的机制。本报告总结了 Tevatron-for-LHC 研讨会中顶夸克 - 电弱工作组所完成的工作。它汇集了 Tevatron 的实验结果与 LHC 的预测。希望通过对比和考量这两台加速器,LHC 计划能够借助 Tevatron 的知识得到改进和辅助,从而使粒子物理学整体受益。报告内容包括顶夸克质量的测量、单顶夸克产生的搜寻,以及强子对撞机上的电弱玻色子物理。
