船底座星云的亚毫米波偏振谱

摘要
在2012年BLASTPol气球载望远镜飞行期间,于250、350和500 m波长获得了船底座星云的线偏振图。这些测量结果与Planck 850 m数据相结合,以产生尘埃发射偏振度的亚毫米波谱,并在整个云上取平均。该谱在 15% 范围内(相对于350 m偏振度)是平坦的。特别是,没有证据表明该谱在350 m附近存在如先前对其他分子云的地面测量所暗示的明显极小值。船底座中这一平坦偏振谱的结果与最近发表的Vela C分子云的BLASTPol测量结果一致,并且也符合Bethell及其合作者发表的关于外部照亮致密分子云的模型。船底座中谱的形状未显示出对尘埃辐射环境的任何依赖,这由Planck导出的尘埃温度或353 GHz处尘埃光学深度所量化。
