摘要

本文概述了过去两年弦理论的一些发展，重点关注四个主题：来自弦理论的现实（类标准模型）模型、几何工程和带通量的理论、规范理论-引力对偶，以及含时背景和弦理论。本文是2002年7月24-31日在阿姆斯特丹举行的ICHEP'02会议上的全体大会报告。
