摘要
我们研究候选人在面对有关选民偏好的新信息时可进行调整时的定位问题。重新定位使候选人能更接近中位选民，但在经济和选举上均有成本。我们根据事前立场与新信息，考察调整的发生及其方向。在唯一的子博弈完美均衡中，候选人预期到针对未来信息进行调整的可能性，并事前采取分化立场，以在新信息有利时确保无成本胜利。
