我们利用 Spacester 太空望远镜上装配的红外光谱仪(IRS)对星际风暴星系 NGC 7714进行观测。光谱包含丰富的离子和分子特征，使我们能够对其性质进行详细表征。NGC 7714 具有类似 HII 区的光谱，伴随强烈的 PAH 发射特征。我们未发现隐蔽的活动星系核的证据，且 [NeIII]/[NeII]~0.73，使 NGC7714 位于正常金属丰度星际风暴星系的上端。 NGC 7714 几乎没有硅酸盐吸收，其最热尘埃成分温度为 340K，堪称年轻、未遮蔽星际风暴的理想模板。
