SPICES:系外行星系统的光谱偏振成像与表征

摘要

SPICES(系外行星系统的光谱偏振成像与表征)是一项向欧空局“宇宙愿景”计划提议的五年期M级任务。其目标是在可见光波段(450 - 900 nm)以约40的光谱分辨率,利用光谱学和偏振测量技术,对长周期太阳系外行星和星周盘进行成像与表征。到2020/22年,现有及近期设备将发现数十颗SPICES能够详细观测和研究的行星。SPICES配备1.5米望远镜,可优先观测位于邻近恒星(<25 pc)周围数个天文单位(0.5-10 AU)处、质量从几倍木星质量到超级地球(约2倍地球半径,约10倍地球质量)的系外行星,以及暗至太阳系黄道光数倍的星周盘。
