红移1.78处超新星H0pe宿主星系的光谱观测

摘要

超新星(SN) H0pe是作为新暂现源在詹姆斯·韦伯空间望远镜(JWST) NIRCam对星系团PLCK G165.7+67.0的成像中发现的,该观测属于“再电离与引力透镜科学的首要河外区域”(PEARLS) JWST GTO计划(#1176),时间为2023年3月30日(AstroNote 2023-96; Frye等人2023)。该暂现源是一个紧致源,与一个背景星系相关,该星系被星系团的强引力透镜拉伸并成三重像。本文报道了在JWST观测两周后,使用大型双筒望远镜(LBT)红外通用相机(LUCI)长缝模式获取的该星系两处像在950-1370 nm观测帧中的光谱。各平均光谱显示了[OII]双线以及红移z=1.783±0.002处的Balmer和4000埃断裂。CIGALE对光谱能量分布的最佳拟合模型表明,SN H0pe的宿主星系质量大(修正放大因子~7后Mstar~6x10^10 Msun),以中等年龄(~2 Gyr)恒星族为主,消光适中,修正放大后的恒星形成率~13 Msun/yr,与低于恒星形成主序一致。这些性质暗示H0pe可能是一颗Ia型超新星。最近用JWST(JWST-DD-4446; PI: B. Frye)对SN H0pe及其宿主开展的额外观测将能够确定超新星分类并确认其与本工作所分析星系的关联。
