我们提出了一种利用哈勃太空望远镜(HST)发现和研究高红移Ia型超新星(SNe Ia)的新巡天策略。通过瞄准0.9<z<1.5范围内的大质量星系团,与HST场巡天相比,我们发现超新星的效率提高了一倍,并且在相对无尘埃的红序星系中,超新星探测的总产率提高了三倍。总共发现了16颗红移z>0.95的超新星,其中9颗位于星系团中。该策略提供了一个超新星样本,可用于解耦高红移超新星中宿主星系消光和固有颜色的影响,从而减少超新星宇宙学中最大的系统不确定性之一。
