枚举关系代数方程的所有解是一种自然且强大的操作，当它被添加到嵌套关系代数中作为查询语言原语时，便得到一个用于嵌套关系数据库的查询语言，等价于众所周知的幂集代数。我们研究\emph{稀疏}方程，即最多有多项式数量解的方程。我们考察它们的复杂度，并将它们的表达力与类似概念在幂集代数中的表达力进行比较。
