通过模拟由硬球柱组成的液晶模型系统，对 pe 物理引擎进行了验证。为此，我们评估了该系统的几个特征参数，即向列相序参数、压强和 Frank 弹性常数。我们将这些值与文献报道的值进行比较，发现非常吻合，这表明 pe 物理引擎能够准确处理此类密堆积粒子系统。同时，由于我们在系统尺寸上比早期模拟受到的限制少得多，我们能够考察有限尺寸效应的影响，特别是对 Frank 弹性常数评估的影响。
