摘要
我们利用美国物理学会过去119年发表的超过50万篇出版物的标题和摘要中的信息，通过识别所有独特单词和短语并确定其月度使用模式，获得了从19世纪末至今物理学发现趋势的可量化见解。我们表明，上升和下降趋势的幅度呈重尾分布，其出现归因于马太效应。这表明科学范式的兴衰是由自组织的稳健原则驱动的。数据还证实，战争时期会减缓科学进步，且科学进步深受全球化影响。
