分段YSO闪烁体探测器作为碎裂设施中衰变谱学的一种新型β植入探测工具

摘要
一种新开发的分段YSO闪烁体探测器首次在RIKEN西田中心RI束工厂作为植入-衰变计数器实现。实验结果表明,该探测器凭借其对β粒子的良好时间分辨率和高探测效率,是传统硅条探测器的可行替代方案。一个位置灵敏光电倍增管(PSPMT)与一块48×48分段YSO晶体耦合。为展示其能力,我们将⁷⁶Ni中已知的短寿命同核异构体以及⁷⁴Co的β衰变通过将这些离子植入YSO探测器中进行测量。本工作中观测到的半衰期和γ射线与已知值一致。对于⁷⁴Co的衰变,β射线探测效率超过80%。
