第二届FRCSyn挑战赛@CVPR 2024:合成数据时代的人脸识别挑战

摘要

合成数据在训练机器学习模型方面越来越重要。这主要是由于多种因素,如缺乏真实数据和类内变异性、手动标注的时间和错误,以及在某些情况下的隐私问题等。本文概述了在CVPR 2024组织的第二届合成数据时代人脸识别挑战赛(FRCSyn)。FRCSyn旨在研究合成数据在人脸识别中的应用,以解决当前的技术局限性,包括数据隐私问题、人口统计偏差、对新场景的泛化能力,以及在具有挑战性的情况(如年龄、姿态变化和遮挡)下的性能限制。与第一届不同,第一届只允许使用来自DCFace和GANDiffFace方法的合成数据来训练人脸识别系统,在第二届中,我们提出了新的子任务,允许参与者探索新颖的人脸生成方法。第二届FRCSyn挑战赛的结果,以及提出的实验协议和基准测试,对合成数据在人脸识别中的应用做出了重要贡献。
