变率研究是探讨恒星和棕矮星关键属性的重要工具。通过光度监测，我们能够获取有关旋转和磁性活动的信息，这些在质量低于 0.3 太阳质量的范围内预期会发生变化，因为这些全对流天体无法容纳太阳型涡旋。另一方面，光谱变率信息可用于获取关于非常年轻天体盘旋过程的详细视图。本文中，我们报告了关于分析年轻棕矮星和非常低质量恒星变率和旋转演化的观测努力。
