ECIR 上的文献计量增强信息检索研讨会系列（BIR）探讨了与学术搜索相关的问题，处于信息检索与文献计量学的交叉地带。BIR 是学术界（如 ArnetMiner、CiteSeerx、DocEar）与工业界（如 Google Scholar、Microsoft Academic Search、Semantic Scholar）均关注的热点话题。本报告介绍了于 2019 年在德国科隆 ECIR 上举办的为期一天的第八届 BIR 研讨会。
