低温激光干涉引力波探测器中热涨落的降低

摘要
镜面热涨落是干涉式引力波探测器的基本限制。在这里,我们首次实验展示了在引力波探测器中,通过使用来自低温激光干涉仪天文台的蓝宝石镜片在17\,K和18\,K温度下,镜面热涨落的降低。在室温下受镜面热涨落限制的探测器灵敏度,通过冷却镜片在90\,Hz至240\,Hz频率范围内得到了改善。改进后的灵敏度在165\,Hz处达到最大值。
