单像素望远镜荧光探测器阵列(FAST)的重建流程

摘要

单像素望远镜荧光探测器阵列(FAST)是下一代宇宙线探测器的若干提议设计之一。此类探测器需要巨大的收集面积,同时还需保持成本效益。为满足这些需求,FAST 合作组设计了一种简化的低成本荧光望远镜,仅由四个光电倍增管(PMTs)组成。由于标准空气簇射重建技术无法用于如此少的 PMT,FAST 采用了一种替代的两步法。第一步,使用神经网络对真实簇射参数给出初步估计。然后将该估计作为最小化过程的初值,将测得的 PMT 迹与模拟迹比较,求得最佳拟合簇射参数。本文给出这些步骤的详细解释,并以 FAST 原型机在 Telescope Array 实验中的预期性能作为该技术的演示。
