南希·格雷斯·罗曼太空望远镜（Roman）是NASA的下一个旗舰天文台，除了三个核心社区巡天外，还有大量任务时间用于一般天体物理学的巡天。我们考虑了在Roman运行前两年内，在700小时任务时间内，哪些核心巡天之外的观测类型最受益于早期定义。我们建议尽早定义银河系平面巡天，基于此类巡天的广泛利益相关者、首次通过获得与Gaia互补的自行基线的附加科学价值，以及与地面巡天（特别是Rubin的时空遗产巡天LSST）的显著潜在协同作用。我们还发现，对于Roman的超深场观测，遵循社区定义过程有很强的动机。
