呼吸烧绿石晶格上的秩-2 $U(1)$自旋液体

摘要
电动力学的更高秩推广近来引起了相当的关注，因其能够承载“分形子(fracton)”激发，并与量子稳定子码及全息术存在联系。然而，由于缺乏与材料相关的微观模型，在实验中寻找更高秩规范理论受到极大阻碍。此处我们展示在呼吸烧绿石晶格上的磁体中如何产生由秩-2 规范理论描述的自旋液体。我们确定基于Yb的呼吸烧绿石为候选体系，并对秩-2 自旋液体在实验中的表现给出明确预言。
