QUBIC III:实验室表征

摘要

宇宙学Q&U辐射计干涉仪(QUBIC)的原型版本在巴黎的天体粒子物理与宇宙学实验室进行了一轮测试。我们报告了这一技术演示器的结果,其成功展示了辐射计干涉测量原理的可行性。QUBIC的表征包括合成波束的测量、干涉条纹的测量以及偏振性能的测量。望远镜远场中一个经调制且频率可调的毫米波源被用于模拟点源。QUBIC指向在点源上扫描以产生波束图。偏振调制通过使用旋转半波片测量。测得的波束与理论模拟吻合良好,并使QUBIC具备谱成像能力。偏振性能优异,交叉偏振抑制低于0.5%。QUBIC已准备好部署于阿根廷Alto Chorillo高海拔站点以开始科学观测。
