类星体宿主取向与偏振：对 1 型/2 型二分法的启示

摘要
我们研究了 1 型和 2 型射电强 (RL) 及射电静 (RQ) 类星体的光学线性偏振位置角与宿主星系/延展发射取向之间的相关性。我们利用高分辨率哈勃空间望远镜 (HST) 数据和去卷积过程，获得了宿主星系取向的良好测定。结合这些新测量值和文献中的数据汇编，我们发现偏振位置角与宿主星系/延展发射长轴的位置角之间存在显著相关性。这种相关性在 1 型和 2 型天体中表现不同，并取决于源的红移。我们在统一模型框架下讨论了相关解释。
