摘要
我们研究了1型和2型射电噪和射电宁静类星体的光学线性偏振方向与宿主星系/延展发射取向之间的相关性。我们利用高分辨率哈勃空间望远镜数据和反卷积过程，获得了宿主星系/延展发射(EE)位置角的良好测定。结合这些新测量结果和文献中的数据，我们发现线性偏振位置角与EE取向之间存在显著的相关性，且对于1型和2型天体有所不同，这表明在两类天体中均存在来自延展紫外/蓝区的散射。我们的观测支持将统一模型扩展到更高光度的活动星系核(如类星体)，并假设了一个双组分散射模型。
