英国—爱尔兰 224 公里海底链路上的量子通信可行性测试

摘要
未来的量子互联网将利用现有通信基础设施，包括已部署的光纤网络，以实现超越当前信息技术的新颖应用。在此场景下，我们对部署于英国（UK）南波特与爱尔兰（IE）共和国波特兰之间的工业级 224 公里海底光纤链路进行量子通信可行性研究。通过对纠缠光子的相位漂移、偏振稳定性与到达时间进行表征，我们首次证明了该链路适用于实现英国—爱尔兰国际量子通信。
