摘要
本文比较了基于定性推理模型的翻译模型与基于定量统计模型的翻译模型。我们在两个假设的语音翻译系统的背景下考虑这些模型， starting with a logic-based design and pointing out which of its characteristics are best preserved or eliminated in moving to the second, quantitative design. 定量语言和翻译模型基于短语词根之间的关系。用于结构依赖、词汇转换和线性顺序的统计参数用于选择源话语中单词的隐式关系集合、对应目标语言单词的关系集合，以及原话语的最可能翻译。
